Job Role:

The Waste Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of operators in the efficient management and disposal of packaged waste.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of packaged waste vehicles
  • Supervise decanting, cleaning, re-packaging, storing and disposing of packaged waste
  • Sample and treat packaged waste as directed and/or required
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork correctly
  • Ensure safe work practices and adherence to policies and procedures including Absolutes and Lifesaving rules
  • Develop and implement training programs for Packaged Waste Operators and Yard Hands
  • Prepare and document waste products to be removed from site

 

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Current Forklift licence with at least 12 months experience
  • Current driver's licence Class C
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Zero Harm Safety mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development
