We are seeking a Senior Trade Planning Manager for our Fresh Produce team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will develop and implement promotional planning strategies to drive commercial outcomes and deliver customer-centric execution plans. They will collaborate closely with category teams, own analysis of insights to identify growth opportunities, and develop processes for ongoing reviews of promotional effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with category teams to develop multi-horizon promotional plans that align with category strategies, supplier agreements, and market dynamics.
  • Own the analysis of insights to identify growth opportunities within Fresh Produce and make recommendations based on these findings.
  • Develop and establish processes for ongoing reviews of promotional effectiveness, aligning with customer trends and seasonal dynamics.
  • Align the promotional calendar with the customer calendar to deliver a cohesive trade plan, challenging stakeholders to strengthen the value proposition for Fresh Produce.
  • Conduct assessments of local competitor markets, reviewing and responding to market dynamics on a state-by-state level to ensure the right value proposition is delivered to customers.
Requirements

For this role, we are looking for a high achiever with proven commercial capabilities. You should thrive in dynamic environments where you can develop and build new processes uniting cross-functional team initiatives and showcase your expertise in leading change.

  • Extensive retail experience in a comparable commercial role, delivering against KPI targets.
  • Prior experience within Fresh Produce is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated strong financial expertise within a business unit context, utilising financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making and optimise performance.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive category management experience, optimising product offerings pricing, and promotions to drive growth and align with business goals.
  • Experience in building and executing a trade plan.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and managing effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience and proven examples of influencing at a senior leadership level to secure buy-in and drive alignment.
