Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Unit Manager to lead our Acute Medicine Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operationalizing plans to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate service provision, patient assessment, care planning, and continuing management.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in nursing practice.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff to achieve their full potential.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse authorized to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant postgraduate management qualifications or experience.
- Nursing Unit Management experience in an acute/subacute facility and/or ambulatory setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to improving healthcare through quality improvement and evidence-based care.
