Key roles and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Setting up each servery and dining area ready for each meal period in line with food safety standards.
  • Preparing meals and refreshments, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assisting with meal preparation as required, working collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Plan, including temperatures, cleaning schedules and receipt of goods.

Additionally, we require you to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to work as a team member, prioritise tasks and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
  • Digital literacy, enabling you to effectively utilise technology to support your work.
