Pathology Collector Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathology Collector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting patient samples, providing exceptional customer service, and working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting patient samples, including blood and non-blood specimens, in various hospital settings.
  • Liaising with doctors, nurses, and patients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient information and sample results.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in phlebotomy, preferably with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a nursing background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of empathy and patient-centered approach.
  • Organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to hold a Working with Children's Check or obtain one as required.
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with permission to work.
  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence, such as Hepatitis B, is a requirement of this role.
  • Other vaccinations based on location may be required.
