Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Reliability Manager to drive operational excellence at our Cheltenham site. This role is pivotal in leading the reliability transformation over a significant period. Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate resilience and adaptability in navigating complex team dynamics and challenging situations. This position is designed for a leader who can shift our maintenance culture from reactive to proactive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a diverse maintenance team, promoting a culture focused on planning and optimizing asset performance.
- Facilitate the effective implementation and utilization of MEX for maintenance management.
- Work collaboratively across departments to swiftly resolve operational challenges and ensure uninterrupted operation of High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) lines.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies to improve asset availability and identify reliability enhancement opportunities.
- Manage a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program, ensuring an active schedule for optimal asset performance.
- Adhere to and promote site safety policies and procedures, prioritizing health and safety as a core value.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing reliability.
- Oversee project management for engineering initiatives, including installations or upgrades, ensuring alignment with safety protocols and supplier engagement.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven history of leading complex teams, with demonstrable experience in managing intricate team dynamics.
- Expertise in implementing significant reliability initiatives, guiding the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance.
- A background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial disciplines, complemented by a tertiary qualification in engineering.
- Strong project management capabilities for overseeing small to medium engineering projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP or MEX.
- Valid certifications for Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, and Work at Height will be advantageous.
