Research Manager Position Overview

The ideal candidate for this Research Manager position will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research proposal development, research management, or R&D leadership roles. They must have the ability to lead end-to-end delivery of research projects and programs across an organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the full lifecycle of research initiatives from challenge identification to design, implementation, deployment, and stakeholder management
  • Oversee project scope, timelines, quality, cost, resources, and risk to ensure successful outcomes
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide regular updates via dashboards and reports
  • Foster partnerships with external collaborators, including universities, government agencies, and industry experts to drive innovation
  • Identify opportunities to commercialise research and innovation outcomes to deliver business value

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as science, environment, engineering, technology, or innovation management
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical challenges into structured research or innovation programs
  • Technical expertise in research and development, technology, and innovation to inform strategic decision-making
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
