Compliance Specialist

This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements and standards.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, enabling them to effectively administer compliance services across planning, building, plumbing, and stormwater drainage matters.

About the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience in a regulatory environment, with thorough knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, codes, and schemes that govern development compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce legislation, as well as navigate state and local government regulations.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team to achieve quality outcomes related to planning, building, plumbing, and stormwater compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct research, interpret legislation, and make informed decisions regarding enforcement action to ensure compliance with key regulations.
  • To stay up-to-date on amendments to legislation and regulations, ensuring current practices align with best available evidence.
  • To maintain detailed inspection reports, correspondence, and file notes that support legally enforceable compliance outcomes.
