Key Retail Operations Specialist

The Retail Store Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our retail operations. This key position involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of the store, ensuring seamless and profitable business practices. Key responsibilities include managing staff, driving sales performance, optimising inventory levels, maintaining store presentation, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities extend to overseeing all aspects of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, leading, motivating, and developing the store team to achieve sales targets and KPIs, delivering exceptional customer service and handling escalated customer complaints, preparing and analysing sales and financial reports to monitor performance and profitability, recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating store staff, maintaining stock levels, managing inventory, and coordinating with suppliers, implementing and monitoring in-store promotions and marketing strategies, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, managing store visual merchandising and ensuring the store is clean, organised, and well presented, conducting regular staff meetings and performance reviews, and handling cash management, banking, and reconciliation procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience in a retail management role (minimum 2-3 years preferred) is essential for this position. Strong leadership and team management skills are also crucial, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Sound knowledge of retail sales principles and customer service practices is necessary, as well as proficiency in MS Office and retail POS systems. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is vital.
