Business leaders seeking a challenging role in the energy sector may be interested in this Senior Business Development opportunity.

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated professional to join our dynamic sales team. This permanent position will be based in Australia, with the ideal candidate having deep understanding of large-scale energy projects and experience in negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of energy storage projects
  • Lead project sales teams and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Secure deal quality by ensuring requirements are understood and accounted for with correct pricing strategies and risk management
  • Promote strategic objectives and value-based selling
  • Develop successful partnerships with key customers and strategic partners
  • Accountable for strategy and account planning for assigned customers
  • Represent customer voice to internal stakeholders
  • Manage, follow up and report progress by keeping CRM updated
  • Ensure smooth transition of sales projects to the project delivery team

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating utility-scale battery energy storage projects
  • Understanding of the Australian electricity market and business environment
  • Minimum five years of experience in project sales environment
  • Consultative selling skills, ability to understand customer needs and develop a winning solution
  • Ability to influence senior level stakeholders in utilities, IPPs or large energy corporates
  • Proficiency in energy storage business, technology and products, and commercial understanding of energy storage contracts
  • Experience and understanding of engineering, construction, and commissioning process of utility-scale assets
  • Fluency in English
  • Master or Bachelor level education in Engineering, Business or Economics
  • Willing and able to travel at short notice and spend time with customers
