Supply Chain Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee the procurement and logistics of indirect, production and aftermarket products or services in Adelaide.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personnel in duties associated with supplier onboarding, quotation, negotiation, selection, and purchase order placement, adhering to corporate policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Firm-Fixed Price, Not-to-Exceed and Rough Order of Magnitude pricing for Commonwealth procurements.
  • Maintain awareness of commodity pricing, technological advancements and general market trends.
  • Investigate potential suppliers for direct parts and repair services.
  • Identify and address shortfalls in the supplier base to support commodity requirements.
  • Energize quotes and orders from suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Evaluate/award quotations received from suppliers ensuring Corporate requirements are met.
  • Manage supplier performance and drive resolution as needed.
  • Negotiate and manage Indefinite Demand, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQs), Long Term Agreements (LTAs), Contract Purchase Agreements (CPAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Oversee SCM planning metrics throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated extensive supply chain experience with strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, preferably within the Defence Industry.
  • A degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred, but relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience leading a team.
  • Experience dealing with export/import and trade compliance requirements.
