About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Kirinari Community Services Limited in Launceston. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their day-to-day living, including domestic and personal care assistance.
  • Assist individuals to access and participate in community activities and events.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability.
  • Resilience, confidence, and the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
  • Smart Phone.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
