Dental Assistant Job Description

As a dental healthcare professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

  • Preparing examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
  • Assisting dentists with procedures, such as routine cleanings and more complicated surgeries.
  • Providing excellent patient care, including greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
  • Scheduling and managing appointments, including rescheduling or canceling as needed.
  • Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in a dental reception or assisting role is highly desirable.
