We seek an experienced project director to lead our terrestrial work, ensuring successful delivery of campaigns and conservation outcomes across Australia.
About the RoleThis is a key position in our organization, responsible for leading the terrestrial team to achieve our goals. The successful candidate will have a strong record of campaign success, established leadership skills, and management expertise.

- Manage and mentor team members, providing day-to-day leadership and facilitating ongoing professional development.
- Develop and implement effective campaign strategies, setting achievable and measurable goals to deliver conservation outcomes.
The project director will be responsible for:
- Leading the terrestrial team to achieve conservation outcomes.
- Developing and implementing effective campaign strategies.
- Managing budgets and resources to ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community groups.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Ten years of applicable experience in leading successful campaigns and initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of conservation policy and current trends.
- Passion for nature conservation and working with Indigenous communities.
- Strong understanding of the Indigenous cultural context of conservation work in Australia.
This is a full-time position based in Brisbane, with occasional travel required. We offer a competitive salary range of $138,400 AUD - $154,600 AUD, commensurate with experience.
