Travel Sales Consultant Job Opportunity

Are you passionate about travel and have a knack for creating unforgettable experiences for customers? We are seeking an experienced Travel Sales Consultant to join our industry-leading travel agency team in the Melbourne CBD store and head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & travel insurance
  • Build relationships with customers face-to-face and online, manage enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments, and cancellations
  • Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDS
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross-sell & up-sell of travel products
  • Manage travel credits, refunds, and changes
  • Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs
  • Participate in industry events such as supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate 3 in Travel or higher (preferred)
  • GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre (preferred)
  • Passion for the travel industry and personal travel experience
  • Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent personal presentation
