Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Temporary Connections Officer. This position is ideal for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, have experience in customer service, and are proficient in administrative tasks.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing technical advice and support to customers. They will also be responsible for administering fees and charges, preparing documentation, and providing administrative assistance.

This role requires a high level of organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have great communication and presentation skills, as well as experience working in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and costing advice to property owners, consultants, architects, builders, and other departments regarding connection requirements
  • Administering fees and charges
  • Managing the interface with customers via front counter (face-to-face) and telephone enquiries as required
  • Preparing documentation, including standard letters
  • Providing assistance to customers in matters of development, trade waste, and water conservation and referring to other sections as required
  • Providing administrative support through data entry and processing

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Customer Service within a service-based organisation
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of administrative skills, including IT proficiency
  • The ability to remain organized with great time management
  • The ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
