Financial Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Corporate Finance Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the statutory accounting and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-end reporting and analysis, including reconciling intercompany balances and liaising with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and half-year financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate external and internal audits.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Research and draft technical accounting papers, ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and key contacts on various accounting matters.
  • Conduct financial analysis to understand key movements across the group.
  • Provide information for ABS surveys.
  • Undertake ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary accounting qualification.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Prior audit experience beneficial.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated accounting experience in big four accounting firms or corporate/group accounting roles with technical accounting skills and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on experience in accounting and reporting for multinational/multicurrency operations and complex intercompany reconciliations preferred.
  • Previous exposure to SAP and/or Pronto desirable.
  • Experience with Workiva for financial statement preparation desirable.
  • Keen eye for detail and meticulous approach to work.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient cashflow preparation and understanding skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient use of Excel.
  • TM1 experience preferred.
  • Previous consolidation system implementation experience highly valued.
