Project Coordinator

Project delivery specialists play a key role in the success of projects at the Department of Customer Service. They provide critical support to program managers and senior project officers in the coordination of construction office accommodation refurbishments or fit-out projects.
The Project Officer will be responsible for assisting with stakeholder communications, briefing notes, procurement of suppliers, program preparation, financial management, contractor performance, and project evaluation.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have experience in end-to-end project delivery, including procurement, contract administration, and construction management.
Key Responsibilities:- Stakeholder Communications: The Project Officer will support the Program Manager or Senior Project Officer with effective communication with stakeholders.
- Project Coordination: They will assist with the coordination of construction office accommodation refurbishments or fit-out projects, including briefing notes, procurement of suppliers, and program preparation.
- Financial Management: The Project Officer will be responsible for managing financial aspects of the project, including contractor performance and project evaluation.
This role requires individuals who have relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, construction management, or equivalent, as well as experience within the construction industry. Proficiency with project management software/tools is also essential.

Requirements:
- Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in project delivery, including procurement, contract administration, and construction management.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, construction management, or equivalent.
- Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience within the construction industry.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with project management software/tools.
