Our client is a leading Australian horticultural company with a strong presence across the country. With over 7,000 hectares of land and multiple production facilities, they are one of the largest fresh produce suppliers to Australian food retailers.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in the Riverland region. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in implementing our health and safety strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with managers and supervisors to promote a safe and healthy working environment
- Maintain training schedules and coordinate company-wide safety training materials and systems
- Perform incident and hazard reporting, reviewing, supporting, investigating, and monitoring reports
- Develop WHS-related systems and processes, executing audits according to agreed timelines
- Assist with return-to-work processes, providing support to injured workers and associated managers to ensure a safe return-to-work environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of one year's experience in safety management systems
- Similar experience in farming, processing, or manufacturing
- Knowledge of relevant safety legislation and codes
- Demonstrated experience in change management of WHS practices
- Exposure to risk management
- Experience in return-to-work (SA) would be highly regarded
Salary Range
$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
