Risk Management Specialist for Horticultural Operations

Your Employer Our client is a leading Australian horticultural company with over 7,000 hectares of planted land and major production facilities across the country. They are the largest fresh produce supplier to Australian food retailers and drive profitability through integrated farming, packing, and marketing activities.

About the Role

As a key member of our client's safety team, you will play a critical role in implementing their health and safety strategy and initiatives across their Riverland region's farm and packhouse operations. Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager, you will oversee safety compliance systems and work closely with managers and supervisors to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain training schedules and coordinate company-wide safety training materials and systems;
  • Perform incident and hazard reporting, including reviewing, supporting, investigating, and monitoring reports;
  • Develop and execute audits of WHS-related systems and processes according to agreed timelines;
  • Assist with return-to-work processes, providing support to injured workers and associated managers to ensure a safe return-to-work environment.

Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About You

We are seeking an experienced risk management specialist with a collaborative approach and ability to develop safety and well-being strategies. You will have a minimum one year of experience in safety management systems, similar experience in farming, processing or manufacturing, and knowledge of relevant safety legislation and codes. Exposure to risk management and return-to-work experience would be highly regarded.
