Legal Directorate Role

The Probate Registry requires a highly skilled professional to manage its case workflow and provide leadership, supervision and support to the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Exercising powers and authority of the Registrar of Probates.
  • Providing legal direction and technical guidance to the legal profession, staff, trustee companies, self-represented applicants and members of the public.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Laws Degree and admission to practice in the Supreme Court.
  • Current practising certificate.
  • Significant post-admission experience.

Benefits include:

  • Long term contract for up to 12 months.
  • Appointment under the Courts Administration Act 1993.
  • Terms and Conditions of employment governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.

Special considerations include:

  • Appointees may be directed to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.
  • Receipt of details of spent convictions as part of Criminal History Screening.

Remuneration: LE4 ($118, 529 to $129, 582 per annum)
