Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Technical Training Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing development needs, creating instructional materials, and delivering training programs.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with technical expertise and training experience to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on technician development paths and schedules.
- Deliver training as a Certified Dealer Instructor or as an in-house expert.
- Develop high-quality educational curriculum for effective equipment operation and repair.
- Identify resources for creating classroom, hands-on, and online training courses.
- Evaluate student competence through accurate evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date training materials, including course outlines.
- Schedule training with service managers and supervisors.
- Communicate training schedules and course information clearly.
- Document and report student evaluation scores and attendance.
- Prepare and distribute certificates of completion.
- Liaise with external agencies on behalf of our organization.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a strong blend of technical expertise and training experience. Applicants will be considered if they have one or both of the following:
- A heavy-duty certification along with a strong technical background; or
- Previous experience in training and instructional delivery.
Additionally, you should possess:
- John Deere Certified Dealer Instructor status or a willingness to obtain it.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, technical, and instructional design skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to meet the training needs of various locations.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to service excellence.
