Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Day Care Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and attention to dogs in our daycare facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet dogs and owners at pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Carry out day-to-day office administration duties.
  • Supervise and manage dogs to ensure safe levels of play and minimize stress levels in playgroups.
  • Interact with dogs in playgroups to provide basic training and enrichment activities.
  • Follow basic training protocols for training sessions.
  • E nsure client satisfaction through excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and ensure the dog's wellbeing and environment are maintained at the highest standard.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current driver's license.
  • The ability to physically handle large dogs and walk around pens for extended periods.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence when interacting with dogs of all sizes.
  • An understanding of safety and overall dog care.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A self-motivated and gentle nature when handling dogs.
Benefits

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate. The schedule includes working Tuesday to Thursday approximately 9am-6pm.

Schedule Details:

  • 8 hour shift.
  • Day shift.
  • No weekends.
