Dementia Care Specialist

As a Dementia Professional, you will have the rewarding opportunity to support families, caregivers, and clinical staff in understanding how dementia impacts individuals. You will equip carers and clinicians with the skills to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and development of resources. Additionally, you will work in partnership with the broader Dementia Support Australia team to build capability across the home and aged care sectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Experience supporting people living with dementia
- Understanding of dementia and a person-centred approach to care
- Ability to relate to individuals and share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels
- High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
