Dialysis Care Specialist
Job Description:As a Dialysis RN, you will be responsible for supervising dialysis care, collaborating with the hemodialysis team, and providing direct patient care.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, staff, and physicians.
- Educate patients on renal disease, vascular access, dialysis therapy, and related health conditions.
- Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians to ensure safe and effective dialysis therapy.
- Supervise dialysis technicians, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Monitor and document hemodialysis care, assessments, and patient responses.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient response.
- Ensure proper collection and packaging of lab specimens per DOT policies.
- Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
- Review lab results and report critical data to physicians.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the relevant state.
- At least one year of nursing experience, including dialysis experience.
- CPR certification.
This role involves walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. It requires close attention to visual, auditory, and mental tasks.
