Care Professional for People with Disabilities and Mental Health Needs

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Support Workers for people with disabilities and mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering person-centred care that supports individuals in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.
About the RoleThis role involves working closely with people living with disabilities and/or mental health conditions, providing support that promotes their independence, safety, and overall well-being.
Your Key Responsibilities May Include:- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Providing mobility support, including safe use of hoists, to enable clients to move freely and confidently
- Developing and implementing positive behaviour support strategies to manage complex behaviours
- Promoting community access, independence, and meaningful engagement to enhance clients' lives
- Maintaining accurate records of progress and responding promptly to any risks or escalation
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in disability or mental health support is essential
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card (Working with Children) must be held
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle are required for travel across a wide area
- Manual handling and hoist experience are essential, with behaviour support or mental health experience highly desirable
- A flexible and reliable approach is necessary, with availability to work standard days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends
