Heavy Equipment Fitter - A Challenging Career Opportunity

To succeed in this role, you will require a trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent and minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction. You should be able to perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet including CAT 793, 16M, 994, Komatsu WA1200, Liebherr T264 and other equipment in accordance with documented procedures.

You will be working on a 14/7 roster, 7 days and 7 nights, 12 hours shifts. In addition, you will be expected to source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems. Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards is also a critical aspect of the job.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs and servicing of CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr
  • Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable)
  • HR drivers license (desirable)
