Senior Operations Manager

The Parkes Shire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the planning, certification, and regulation functions.

This pivotal role requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and experience in managing multiple functions within a directorate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work strategically across the organisation to align operations with Council's priorities and values.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline AND/OR Building Certification (Unrestricted or Restricted)
  • Demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role
  • Experience in overseeing and developing plans and policy development at a management and leadership level
  • Knowledge and experience relating to building certification and/or development application and certification policy and legislation
  • Understanding of LEAN principles and continuous improvement
  • Ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders

We Offer:

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary and superannuation package, a 35 hour working week and fortnightly rostered day off (RDO), leaseback vehicle for private and business use, four weeks annual leave per year, and access to Long Service Leave after five years.
