Therapist Position Overview

An exciting opportunity awaits at a leading private Children's Therapy service in Bendigo.

Our multidisciplinary team consists of experienced therapists who work together to provide comprehensive care for our clients. We are seeking a skilled play therapist to join our team, working closely with parents and caregivers to develop individualised treatment plans that cater to each family's unique needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individual and family-based play therapy and counseling to address the emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs of children and young people.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers through empathic and connected communication.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to create tailored treatment plans and goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic client care.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops when opportunities arise.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and client records.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development to maintain best practices.
About This Role

This Therapist position requires Tertiary qualifications and registration as a Mental Health Social Worker, Psychologist, or equivalent, allowing for Medicare rebates.

Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and families is essential.

A valid Working with Children Check (Vic) and National Police Check are mandatory requirements.
