Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team at Relationships Australia South Australia. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to residents in residential aged care facilities. Your expertise in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies will be invaluable in supporting the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group psychological therapies to residents in residential aged care facilities
  • Assess and triage comorbid conditions that contribute to or are impacted by a person's psychological state
  • Provide targeted services for residents at risk or who have a former or new diagnosis of mild to moderate and severe mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement therapeutic groups and low-intensity psycho-education programs
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology, and registration as a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker or General registration as a Psychologist
  • Experience working in aged care, mental health, or medical settings
  • Qualifications in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or Animal Assisted Therapy (desirable)
