As a Data Protection Specialist at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Suncorp Bank as part of the ANZ Group.
This 12-month fixed-term contract is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist advice on the implementation of the Suncorp Bank Privacy Policy and support standards, ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and mandatory reporting of data breaches.
You will work closely with the business to provide insights derived from internal and external data trends and forecasts, contributing to the success of the overall Bank CRO team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice to the business on interpretation and implementation of frameworks and policy.
- Oversight of the implementation of Privacy frameworks and policy.
- Contribution to the leadership team and working fluidly on the overall team's priorities.
- Assisting the Executive Manager Compliance Advisory to manage and promote effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Providing strategic and specialist second-line-of-defence oversight and compliance advice regarding the compliance management practices of the Bank's business portfolios.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
- Extensive years of regulatory compliance, risk management, legal or commercial experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Privacy requirements, regulatory guidance, industry codes and related processes.
- Strong collaboration and team skills, with the ability to bring together people and foster a productive culture across businesses.
- Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk-based manner.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest developments in the area of expertise.
- Proven experience in dealing effectively with senior management.
