About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at St John of God Health Care. As a key member of our hospital catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient meals and catering services that meet the dietary and cultural needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective food safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of catering staff to deliver exceptional patient care and customer service.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary and cultural needs of patients.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and report on kitchen performance, including food safety and quality metrics.
  • Develop and implement training programs for catering staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cooking or equivalent.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
