Job Overview

We provide multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. Our team is based in regional NSW, working on our remote mine site village.

  • This role involves leading all kitchen operations for breakfast, crib & dinner service providing a buffet style service.
  • You will manage & mentor a team of chefs, kitchen hands & dining room staff.
  • Oversight of stock control, ordering & food safety compliance is required.
Key Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  • Ensure food is always prepared to a high standard.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control & cleanliness in accordance with relevant industry guidelines.
  • Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas & be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery - Minimum
  • Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef in mining or remote settings
  • Excellent communication & leadership skills
  • Experience within bulk catering/ cooking environments
