Customer Data Platforms Architect

We are seeking a Customer Data Platforms Architect to lead the strategic design and evolution of our customer data platforms.

This role is central to how we deliver personalisation at scale, drive data integrity, and enable seamless integration across marketing, sales, and service journeys.

  • Architect the end-to-end customer and marketing data platform across CRM, MDM, Salesforce, APIs, and event-based systems.
  • Lead the design of customer master data solutions – including survivorship, identity resolution, and golden record logic.
  • Demonstrate expertise in architecting data solutions using platforms such as Redshift or Databricks, with a strong command of advanced data modelling techniques.
  • Enable data stewardship, consent management, and PII compliance through scalable architecture.
  • Support real-time integration between systems like Kafka, MuleSoft, and other enterprise applications.
  • Define platform patterns and guardrails aligned to strategic data models.
  • Create architecture views using ArchiMate methodology.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, engineering, risk, and governance stakeholders.
  • Cultivate architecture maturity and promote customer-centric thinking within teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep experience in customer & marketing data platforms, CRM, or enterprise integration.
  • Strong knowledge of customer data models, hierarchical relationships, and segmentation logic.
  • Experience with event-driven design (e.g., Kafka), data contracts, and lineage tracking.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and lead cross-functional discussions with marketing, compliance, business, and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with data and application architecture, including AWS services, Databricks, and integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of security, consent frameworks, PII handling, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence to influence across business and technology.
