Enterprise Solutions Architect – Full time, Fixed Term Contract

Sydney CBD location – Hybrid work model (3 days in office)

Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Enterprise Solutions Architect to join Uniting's Technology team. This role is responsible for designing, describing and managing technology solutions that address complex business challenges across the organisation.

In this role, you will lead solution methodologies, champion best practices, and develop the capability required to deliver high-quality solution artefacts. You will work closely with stakeholders to synthesise business needs, technology requirements and strategic objectives into well-documented, enterprise-aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure solutions are well-matched to Uniting's existing enterprise environment, with a focus on applications and systems integration.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into comprehensive solution designs.
• Consider and balance all relevant project constraints, including technology, scope, cost, quality, time, risk and resources.
• Evaluate and select the most appropriate technology stacks to address specific business problems.
• Analyse and ensure compliance with all non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, scalability and usability.
• Design and document technical solutions, describing system structure, behaviours and characteristics in a clear and accessible way.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts and other key roles to ensure solutions align with architecture standards, leverage shared services and meet financial targets.
• Support development efforts and governance processes throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Provide expert consultation during the design, build, test and deployment phases, and contribute to benefits realisation reviews.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in technology solution design, enterprise architecture or a related field.
• Strong capability in producing architecture artefacts such as business context, solution vision, requirements, and conceptual, logical and technical designs.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and selecting technology options, with consideration of hosting, security, integration and usability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organised, systematic and thorough, with a disciplined and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Proven ability to navigate complex organisational environments, build relationships and influence without direct authority.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with agile solution development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
• Background in technology consulting.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Azure certifications.
• Experience working within the Aged Care sector.
