About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our team in Regional QLD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of maintenance and shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to personnel and third-party contractors to ensure the safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety management plans, quality management plans, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of technical support, including troubleshooting and resolution of equipment-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in site-based maintenance or shutdown operations, preferably in the power station sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of ABB Turbine/Generator types or similar equipment.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving exceptional results.
  • Australian recognized trade certificate or Cert IV in relevant disciplines (highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
