Job Summary:

Key objectives of this role include maintaining high standards of turf areas to ensure they remain healthy, resilient and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and enhance turf surfaces through regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating and topdressing.
  2. Proactively address issues affecting turf health, including pests, diseases and compaction, using appropriate cultural and chemical practices.
  3. Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.
  4. Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  5. Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks and deliver exceptional results.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns and provide turf care recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management is essential for success in this role.
  • Cricket Wicket experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits and maintenance requirements is critical.
  • Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators and sprayers, is necessary.
  • Ongoing safety training programs and resources are available.
