Job Title: Hospital Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and skilled support assistant to join our healthcare team at Canterbury Hospital.

About the Role:

The Environmental Services Department provides a 24-hour cleaning and portering (transport) service throughout Canterbury Hospital. Our ideal candidate will work closely with our team to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks to high standards, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
  • Transport patients, medical staff, and equipment as required.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of working in a healthcare or cleaning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work a 24-hour, 7-day rotating roster, including night shifts.
