Derivatives Operations Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a key member of the Derivatives Operations function.

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for operational processes mainly focused on trade clearing and funding, handling the Listed Derivatives product suite. Your primary duties will include:

  • Clearing: Process trade clearing efficiently and accurately for all relevant markets.
  • Exception handling and reporting on the post-trade clearing process.
  • Investigate and resolve any clearing breaks raised and ensure root-cause level resolution.
  • Treasury: Process all exchange deposits/withdrawals request in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with exchanges and banks on collateral related matters.

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable external and internal regulatory requirements, including the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Derivatives Operations.
  • A good understanding of Exchange-Traded Derivatives markets, systems and process workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of the key risk areas of the functions and its relevant controls.
  • High standards of accuracy, diligence, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A process excellence mindset coupled with initiative.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholder communication.

Key Qualifications

  • A good Bachelor's degree or exceptionally strong results in an AQF Level 6 qualification.
  • Familiarity with wholesale financial markets, products and clearing house mechanisms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
