Job Responsibilities

As a Skilled Nursing Professional, you will be responsible for delivering clinical care to residents, including assessing their health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments. You will also be accountable for wound management, health care planning, assessment and documentation, pain management, emergency response, and end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care: Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
  • Wound Management: Managing and dressing wounds, preventing infections, and promoting proper wound healing.
  • Health Care Planning: Developing and implementing individualized care plans based on residents' specific needs and medical conditions.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conducting thorough health assessments, maintaining accurate medical records, and documenting changes in residents' health conditions on the care management system.
  • Pain Management: Addressing pain concerns and implementing pain management strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Being prepared to handle medical emergencies and coordinating the response as necessary.
  • End-of-Life Care: Providing comfort and support during end-of-life care, including palliative care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Knowledge of aged care standards and regulations.
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
