Learning Support Specialist

The role of a Secondary Learning Support Teacher plays a vital part in creating an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
This position involves collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and caregivers to ensure that each student receives tailored support to help them succeed academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include acting as the liaison between secondary teachers and the support team, guiding teachers in developing learning interventions, providing support in curriculum development, managing individualized resources, and promoting positive learning experiences through emotional and social support.
Additionally, this role requires working collaboratively with teachers, the learning support team, school leadership, and other relevant teams to enhance student outcomes. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required.

- Collaborate closely with the Head of Student Learning and Support to provide guidance and support to teachers and students.
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students in improving their literacy and numeracy skills.
