Developing Professional Standards

This role involves developing and maintaining professional standards to support the team in delivering advice and education to members, clients and ensuring governance framework optimisation for operational risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and maintenance of professional standards ensuring consistency across the FA&E Team.
  • Collaborating with team members to develop insights on how professional standards are applied.
  • Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for advice staff on regulatory changes, compliance obligations and professional standards.
  • Overseeing centralised onboarding for new FA&E team members, ensuring appropriate training and support.

Skills Required

Success in this role requires:

  • Passion for Financial Advice and its positive impact on clients' goals.
  • Experience in creating, managing and embedding a professional standard framework with a good understanding of risk and compliance management frameworks.
  • Ability to balance client experience, achieve operational efficiency while satisfying regulatory obligations.
  • Strong technical leadership based on industry knowledge, experience and sound knowledge of the regulatory framework under which Financial Planning and Superannuation funds operate.
  • Strong stakeholder management and external business relationship development skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate beneficial outcomes.
  • Relevant qualifications in Financial Planning, Commerce and/or legal related fields.
