Room Service Attendant Job Overview

The InterContinental Hotel Brisbane is seeking a Room Service Attendant to join its team on a part-time basis. This role involves delivering late-night meals and early morning breakfasts to guests' rooms, ensuring seamless service and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and delivering food and beverage orders to guest rooms efficiently and accurately
  • Setting up and clearing down trolleys and trays, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with in-room dining requests
  • Handling overnight guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth
  • Coordinating with kitchen and front office teams to ensure seamless service
  • Ensuring billing accuracy and processing payments when needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food & beverage, room service or hospitality (preferred but not essential)
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a guest-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Physical ability to lift trays, push carts and be on your feet throughout the shift
