Residential Services Team Leader Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to lead our residential services team in a supported independent living home.

The successful applicant will work alongside support workers to directly support participants with activities of daily living, domestic tasks, goal development, empowerment and active support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of support workers
  • Develop the service within a SIL environment
  • Support participants with activities of daily living and domestic tasks
  • Empower participants to reach their goals and improve their quality of life

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience leading a team in SIL services
  • Available to be rostered for flexible hours/shifts, plus weekend rosters
  • Tertiary, graduate or post graduate qualification in a relevant field (Community /Disability)
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Advance computer skills (MS Office, iPads and other systems)
  • Current drivers license and access to reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
  • Administer medication formal training - Recognise Healthy Body Systems and Assist Clients with Medication
  • National Police Check (issued less than 3 months ago) or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Auslan
  • Solid leadership capability with experience leading a team of support workers
  • Experience in age-care, special education and health background will also be well regarded
  • Relevant qualification in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it
