About the Role

Cultura is seeking a skilled Activity Worker to join our team at the Healthy Living Centre. As an Activity Worker, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing quality creative and stimulating activities for our aged support clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging activities based on individual and group interests
  • Work under general supervision from the Manager, Centre-based and Advisory Services
  • Perform work with personal judgment and accountability for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of work
  • Drive clients to and from the community centre and on outings within the region
  • Complete and maintain client records, including file notes, support plans, and client reviews
  • Participate in professional development and training
  • Liaise with carers and other service providers regarding client needs and choices
  • Assist with client personal care requirements, mobility, and transferring clients using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Follow protocols for accidents, incidents, and safe work practices
  • Identify potential candidates for projects and support clients to gather information and photos
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Desirable: Food Safety Handlers Certificate and understanding of guiding principles for medication management in the community
