Job Summary

The Family Preservation Caseworker will work closely with families and young people to provide intensive support and guidance, helping them to maintain connections and access community resources. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of child and family welfare, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement case plans that meet the unique needs of each family
  • Conduct regular home visits and meetings with families to assess their needs and provide support
  • Work closely with community services and other stakeholders to ensure families receive the support they need
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families and young people to build trust and promote positive outcomes
  • Provide guidance and support to families to help them access community resources and services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with families and young people
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience working with children and young people in a similar environment
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of Needs Based Restorative Framework concepts and strategies
  • Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (preferably Social Work)
