Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at Mackay Base Hospital.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient outcomes, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, adhering to Australian health standards and protocols.
  • Participate in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Emergency STEMI on-call roster as required.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a cardiac catheter laboratory or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medications management, including QPHS Regulations.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in Australia, Queensland Health, and/or Mackay HHS.
  • Knowledge of manual and patient handling, infection control, and aggressive behaviour management.
