Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our team in managing and executing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and planning of civil engineering projects, including roads, utility supply systems, stormwater management, and site development.
  • Prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate a team of engineers, CAD technicians, and other design professionals.
  • Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments.

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (NC and/or SC) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a project manager lead role.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil-3D, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of hydrology, geotechnical principles, and project management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
