We are Australia's first next-generation Mercure hotel, located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. Our 183-room & suite hotel features a restaurant, indoor heated swimming pool, elite fitness centre, and expansive outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Yarra Ranges and CBD.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets, including supervision of staff, managing guest queries, and assisting with performance analysis, rostering, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and supervise food and beverage outlet operations during breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal periods;
  • Create a dynamic and engaging environment where team members and guests can connect over great food and beverage;
  • Communicate and delegate tasks effectively to the team;
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Assist the Director of Food and Beverage with analysing performance, rostering, and budgeting;
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage management team on training and development of team members.

Requirements:

  • A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences;
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry;
  • A proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams;
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external customers;
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and remain calm under pressure;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate in Victoria.
