About the Role

The Tasmanian Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team in the Department of Health. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to children, young people, and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-level clinical leadership to the team
  • Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies
  • Developing and implementing specialized treatment programs
  • Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania
  • Leading and working with a diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognized tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association
  • Current Working with Children Registration
  • A minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or relevant field
  • Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate
  • Current Driver's Licence
